PROCESS TIMER
Push Button Timer on Tank
This timer was built with convenience in mind. There are no wires needed for these timers, just screw them in place. A single button starts and stops the timing cycle. The time is set with rotary switches. Once the time is set, you can close the cover and go. No calibrating is necessary as with most timers that use potentiometers to save cost. The time is accurate to within 2%.
Setting the time with convenient rotary switches Operation The standard timer, model T1, counts down from 1-99 seconds,or 1-99 minutes. (selected with a switch) During the countdown, the LED flashes to let you know its timing. At the end of the time cycle, the button pulses in a longer pattern for increased visiblity, and a 103dB warbling audio alarm sounds and until the button is pushed again to stop.
Timer model T1 Relay Output The model T1-R adds a relay output to control pumps and solenoids using a piggyback plug or "switchplug". This works like Christmas tree lights where you plug into the back of the piggyback plug only instead of passing the power through continuously, the piggyback plug acts like a switch. The timer will switch your pump on and off as needed. Choice of 10A or 16A relay available. Mode 1 opens the relay during the contdown time. After your set time has elapsed, the alarm sounds and the button flashes slowly. When the button is pushed again to acknowledge the alarm, the relay resumes its 'normal' position. (N.C. or N.O.) The time cycle can end with the push of a button as in mode 1, or not, as in mode 2. More Operation Modes For a second independently settable time cycle available for controlling an independent event there is model T2-R which includes mode 3 and 4. So its actually two timers in one box. Mode 3 and 4 are particularly useful for controlling rinse tank water flow. After a load of work is removed from the tank the rinse solenoid stays on for a time period that you set. click here for more information on rinse tank control.
Battery or Plug-in? The battery life might suprise you: the battery supplied with the unit is an Ultralife lithium battery which has a capacity of 48 hours of contiuous alarming with this timer. So as an example if you expect to use your timer 10 times a day and operators respond to it typically with 20s, then you can expect the battery to last well over two years.
