The easiest level alarm to install. Simply snap in the battery, secure the flange to your tank, and its in operation. Depth adjustment is easy too: just loosen the set screw and slide the unit to the proper depth. No other liquid level alarm makes it this quick and easy for you to install, and then forget about liquid level problems.

There are a variety of options to tailor the alarm to your needs: high level, low level, or both. The float switch is polypropylene and it is available with PVC piping (cheaper) or polypropylene.

Battery power or plug-in?

You might be surprised by the battery life. There is no passive power consumption as with other methods of monitoring. A single lithium battery produces 50 hours of alarming and has a shelf life of 10 years!

This translates to at least a two year battery life if it alarms once a day! A pair of batteries connected with the optional dual battery snap will last even longer.

Dual Snap

Still not enough? It can also run from a12V AC wall adapter, for a nominal charge.

Some Chemicals Commonly Used With Drum Alarms

* Aqueous Ammonia
* Aqueous solutions to 90°C
* Chromic acid (50%)
* Hydrochloric acid (conc.)
* Nitric acid (30%)
* Oils including waste oil
* Potassium carbonate (40%)
* Polyester resin
* Sodium hydroxide (50%)
* Sodium Hypchlorite (conc.)
* Sulfuric acid (conc.)

The float switch is protected inside a pipe and with a screen to keep debris and scum from interfering with the float for years of reliable service.

In cases where it may take a long time to correct the liquid level, it may be desirable to have the ability to silence the audio alarm.

For these applications consider the "touch-to-silence" alarm: simply touch the alarm and it the sound shuts off. The LED continues to blink as a reminder. Everything resets automatically when the liquid level is corrected.

The Tank Alarm can control pumps and solenoids with an optional relay output. A piggyback plug makes connecting to your pump easy. Plug the male blades into a wall outlet and your pump into the female slots.

The standard 8A relay will handle motors up to 1/4HP@120V, and a 16A relay is also available for up to 1/2 H.P.@120V. Either way the relay is switchable between N.O. or N.C.

For example, in N.C. operation, the Tank Alarm will allow your pump to run and when the level reaches the float switch, it will stop the pump. The pump will stay off even if the level is corrected. Push the reset button to resume your pumping.
