PUMP CONTROLLER

This pump controller turns pumps on and off to automatically fill your tank or empty a tank, or sump. One of the float switches starts your pump. When the level reaches the other float switch, it stops the pumping. Also includes a built-in level alarm to detect pump failure. Switchable between pump-up or pump-down applications.

Pump Controller

Pump controller model P-3

Better Pump Control

* Always on duty because battery power is uninteruptible

* Install it anywhere. No need for power outlets.

* Batteries last for years with ultra-low power consumption and high capacity lithium battery. (included)

* Built-in Level Alarm. Just in case of pump failure there is a level alarm built in. Optional second level alarm if desired.

* Loud 103dB warbling tone cuts through the loudest industrial noise.

* Rugged. Built for rough, wet and corrosive environments. NEMA 4X rating.

* Low battery alert.

* Reliable. Floats are protected inside a pipe and with a debris screen.

* Safe. 9 volt circuit in a waterproof enclosure.and with a debris screen.

* Versatile. Switch between pump-down or pump-up operation with a switch.and with a debris screen.

* High capacity. 16A relay will control up to 1/2 HP @ 120V. (1 HP at 220V).

The Pump Controller is designed to be quickly installed and working in under 5 minutes. Simply mount the plate on your tank and adjust the depth with the set screw. It comes with a convenient piggyback plug so you can plug your pump directly in and be running fast.

Operation

To illustrate a pump-down application to empty a tank that collects liquid: when the liquid level rises so that it reaches the high level float switch (1 in the drawing to the right) the Pump Controller starts your pump to begin pumping out the tank. When the level drops to the low float (2), it stops your pump.

Emergency Level Alarms

If there is a problem with the pumping and the liquid level rises higher than the high level alarm float (3), a loud warbling audio alarm is sounded with a flashing LED. There is an option for a second level alarm which could be used to detect low level in case of a leak. Or it could be used for another output to control a second pump or solenoid, etc.

Tank Alarm Particle screen

Each float switch is protected with a screen to protect the float from debris for years of reliable service.

Batteries

The batteries last for years as the latching relay requires only a quick pulse of power power to latch. Typically they will last for 5 years if the pump is actuated 10 times a day. Nevertheless, if you prefer an AC adapter it is available for just a nominal charge. Further discussion of batteries vs. plug-in power.
