The easiest level alarm for monitoring chemical drums and containers. No other liquid level alarm makes it this quick and easy for you to install, and then forget about drum level forever. Simply connect your feed line and drop it in a drum. You're ready to go!

The Drum Alarm cap makes it easy to switch to a new feed drum since you don't have to screw it in place - it just drops over the bung. Therefore you don't have to disconnect tubing every time. The weight of the Drum Alarm keeps it down. The cap keeps debris out of the drum, and it supresses vapors. Even ammonia drums are not a problem. Nevertheless, there is an option for a threaded plug if desired.

The suction pipe line even has a screen to keep particles out of your pump.

Some Chemicals Commonly Used With Drum Alarms

* Aqueous Ammonia
* Aqueous solutions to 90°C
* Chromic acid (50%)
* Hydrochloric acid (conc.)
* Nitric acid (30%)
* Oils
* Potassium carbonate (40%)
* Polyester resin
* Sodium hydroxide (50%)
* Sodium Hypchlorite (conc.)
* Sulfuric acid (conc.)

The length of the feed tube is sized to reach to the bottom of drums so you can pump out all the liquid. And, because the feed tube can't be separated from the float switch, the level alarm is always on duty.

There is intentionally no audio alarm shut-off switch so that the operator must transfer to a new drum immediately. If needed however, there is a "touch-to-silence" alarm that allows it to be silenced while the LED continues to blink as a reminder. Everything resets automatically when the level is corrected.

An optional relay output allows the Drum Alarm to control pumps and solenoids. It comes with a convenient piggyback plug. Switchable from N.O to N.C. up to 16A.

The standard Drum Alarm with polypropylene float and PVC pipe is resistant to most chemicals, but if needed a polypropylene model is available.

Battery power or plug-in?

You might be surprised by the battery life. There is no passive power consumption as with other methods of monitoring. A single lithium battery produces 50 hours of alarming and has a shelf life of 10 years!

Ultralife

Battery power is uninterruptible and therefore more reliable. However, you must replace it about every 3 years depending on use. Nevertheless there is an option to run it from an AC adapter if desired.

Available in many depths for different containers: if you don't see the size you need listed we'll adapt it for your needs.

Optional check valve stops the flow from draining out of the feeding pipe during transfer to a new drum. This means you don't have to re-prime your pump.
